It is important for everyone, but especially those whose work means that they give of themselves to others, to take time out from their daily activities, to reflect on supervision handstheir experiences, both in and out of work. This can help us return to our work refreshed and invigorated with new insight and new ideas.

My view of supervision is as a joint activity, with me in a supporting role, facilitating your insight into your work, sharing your successes and helping you make changes, if needed. I provide supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and people working in other caring professions for example; nurses, teachers, ministers

I have several years experience of supervising Health Professionals within the NHS and was involved for some years in a group developing supervision for school teachers, primarily in Derbyshire but spreading out from there across the country. In my private practice, I am experienced in supervising counsellors with a range of experience - trainees through to experienced practitioners. In 2012 I graduated from Keele University with a Post-graduate Certificate in Supervision. In 2018, I completed a bridging course qualifying me to offer supervision to church ministers.

Supervision with me is available at Riverside Wellbeing on Mondays and Tuesdays. My usual charge is between £40 and £60 per hour dependant on your type of work however, some low-cost supervision is available. Please contact me by email or phone, 0777 202 4653 if you would like more information or to arrange a free exploratory session.
